Happy Halloween everyone! Today was such an incredibly fun workday. All of my coworkers dressed up individually or as a group for the chance to win prizes – scariest, funniest, most creative and best group. There was also a pumpkin carving contest using the pumpkins we grew and a potluck. Next week they are having a pumpkin cookoff too. I love that my coworkers take Halloween so seriously and we all have fun with it!
As several of you know, I work with a bunch of bean counters. We had a group theme and skit that you can read about below which shows our corny humor!
My role was an “Inmate” and I obviously do not know how to pose since I am smiling.
The 6 digit # on my coworker is the day she started with our company aka the day she got locked up in prison – so funny! We created quite the scandal in the Finance department that went down like this.
The Sheriff kept telling us to go back to our cells/offices or else….
The Cop made sure we stayed in our cells and piped down!
The Prosecuting Attorney that we made kneel on the floor with our Defending Attorney right next to her to keep her in check!
The Two Jurors we bribed with Halloween candy…The “other two jurors” who came because they heard there was free food…….Then, the one Juror who couldn’t be bribed wasn’t allowed to be pictured (he was the camera man.)
Judge Judy was present as we heard she can be easily won over…….
The “innocent” Accounting Team aka Prisoners and Inmates who didn’t “cook the books” – they only cooked things for the Halloween Potluck! Our attorney objected –
Your honor, I would ask that my clients be released on their own recognizance to participate in the potluck. We have new evidence that one of our jurors has brought alleged homemade chicken.
(The irony is our camera man put rotisserie chicken in a dish and pretended he made them)
The Judge found the defendants guilty of a delicious Halloween Potluck.
Then, the prosecuting attorney sentenced us to eating good food and closing the books at month end!
The End!
At the potluck, there were several group pictures of us all like this one. No doubt the other people in our building might think we are a little “batty”.
I hope your pumpkin day turned out to be as fantastic as ours.
Did you dress up this year?
Night all!
